An extraordinary sheet by Antoni Tàpies, one of the most important Spanish artists of the second half of the 20th century.
The work “Roland Garros” was created in 2000 on the occasion of the prestigious French tennis tournament in Paris. Tàpies thereby became part of an exceptional art history: since 1980 the official Roland-Garros poster has been designed by internationally renowned artists. Among others, Joan Miró, Jean-Michel Meurice, Hervé Télémaque, Antonio Saura and later Jaume Plensa belong to this series. Antoni Tàpies designed the official poster for the 2000 edition.
