Beautiful original works by Izaks. Oil on canvas and in top condition
90 x 85 cm with frame and 70 x 70 cm canvas size.
Signed on the back
Izaks' work belongs to lyrical abstract expressionism. Izaks worked in studios in Enschede and in Eibergen. He had a high output, creating more than a thousand paintings and thousands of etchings, linocuts, and drawings in diverse techniques such as wax crayon and acrylic paint. A large part of it is housed in Het Stedelijk Museum Schiedam. The Wim Izaks Foundation and the Wim Izaks Prize. The memory of Wim Izaks is kept alive by the Wim Izaks Foundation, which sells his work and uses the proceeds to publish books and, every two years, awards a 10,000 euro prize for painting to a young promising artist and a smaller prize of 1,500 euros to the remaining two nominees.
