Sculpture 'Onirogramma - prova d’artista' by Nado Canuti (Italy, 1929), copper with two-tone bronze patination (bronze and gold), in design/postmodern style, 23 cm wide, 16 cm high, 7.5 cm deep, weight 2.57 g, signed, in good condition.
Description from the seller
Refined and imposing modernist sculpture realized by the master Italian sculptor and painter Nado Canuti (Bettolle, 1929). The work belongs to the prolific and sought-after series of the "Onirogrammi" (developed since the early 1970s), where the geometric and architectural rigor of the structure blends with the figurative and organic lightness of the relief details.
The piece is characterized by an elegant material bi-chromatism: a solid bronze patinated/darkened architecture contrasted with elements in glossy gilt bronze (the stylized human/organic figure and the array of spherical and cylindrical details on the body and on the base).
General conditions: Good / Very good
The work presents in excellent structural condition and with the original patina of the era.
Surface and patina: Minor and natural signs of use on the metal consistent with age.
Base: Exhibits a small abrasion/superficial scratch on the patina near the lower edge of the base (visible in close-up photos), which does not affect the piece’s solidity and is part of the artwork’s natural wear.
No structural damage, components well fixed and stable.
