This lithograph was created for the portfolio celebrating the completion of the ceiling of the Paris Opera by Marc Chagall in 1962; on the back of the lithograph is the first maquette realized by Chagall, also printed in lithography. This lithograph with vivid colors perfectly illustrates the joyful vision of the opera that Chagall had.
