For sale is an original color lithograph by Joan Miró in black and blue from the sought-after issue of the art magazine Derrière le Miroir (No. 128, “Peintures murales de Miró”), published in June 1961 by Maeght Éditeur in Paris.
The sheet impresses with Miró’s powerful, gestural formal language, featuring a concise ring-shaped sweeping form atop a blue color field. The graphic was printed in the renowned Parisian workshops of Mourlot Frères. On the reverse side is the printed Catalan accompanying text “EL PUR ESTRÈPIT” by the poet Joan Brossa (p. 9).
