Sailor "Chalana" - Fountain pen

Launched at the end of the 1970s and produced throughout the 1980s and 1990s, the Sailor "Chalana" is one of the most iconic and distinctive models ever made by the Japanese house. It became famous in the world of collecting for being the world’s thinnest gold-nib fountain pen. The cap, the barrel, and the clip are decorated with the special Japanese lacquer "Urushi". There is also an ideogram that represents the artisan’s signature (Kaki-han).

The ultrafine nib is 14Kt gold, and measures 2 /005. The box visible in the early photos is not available but only for display; the pen will be shipped with its original "Chalana" box (see last 2 photos).
