Background to the artwork:
This motif is a gallery card for one of Udo Lindenberg’s most sought-after maritime works. The original unique piece was completed in 2015 as a vivid watercolor. Due to the close personal connection of the Panik-rocker to the North Sea island of Sylt, the motif quickly became a collector’s favorite. This specific card was issued by Walentowski Galleries—likely in connection with the ceremonial opening of their exclusive depot “Udo Lindenberg & More” in the heart of Westerland on Sylt in March 2017.
