Jean CARZOU (1907-2000) — "La Giralda", original color lithograph, superb artist's proof on Japanese paper, signed and dated at the bottom right in the artist's hand and numbered at the bottom left, titled at the bottom center.
Original color lithograph depicting a twilight view of the Torre del Oro and the Giralda in Seville, along the Guadalquivir. Characteristic composition of Carzou's style: perspective in sequences of horizontal hatchings, warm palette (ochre, orange) contrasting with the river’s green, sky dominated by a circular sun.
Title: La Giralda
Technique: original color lithograph
Support: artist's proof on Japanese paper (high-quality paper)
Edition: Proof on Japanese XXVIII/XXXV (28/35 copies) — extremely limited print run
Signature: signed and dated in pencil by the artist at the bottom right ("79", i.e. 1979)
