A major figure of American modernism, Weber was one of the first American artists to deeply incorporate the explorations of the European avant-garde, notably those of Cubism. This print bears witness to that modernity through the construction of the figure, the simplification of forms, and the graphic strength of the composition.

Seated Nude belongs to a Limited edition of only 70 impressions. The rarity of this print run and its large format make it a particularly interesting print for collectors of Max Weber and early 20th-century American modern art.
