Beautiful engraving depicting the biblical episode of “Giving Drink to the Thirsty.”
Excellent specimen with wide margins, on laid paper with two watermarks, in excellent conservation condition, the editorial fold is visible, some small light specks at the side margins, outside the printing area (see photo).

Giving drink to the thirsty, Christ observing; a bearded man pours drink from a jug to several indigent people; a woman with a child in a basket on her back and another seated on the ground with a child in her arms offer a bowl.
From a drawing by Maerten de Vos for the series “Thesaurus Novi Testamenti elegantissimis iconibus expressus continens historias atque miracula dom[ini] nostri Iesu Christi,” first edited by Gerard De Jode in 1585, here in a Visscher edition from the early decades of the 17th century.
