Maarten De Vos (1532-1603), da - Gesù viene cacciato dal Tempio

Anonymous engraving depicting, in the same direction, the print that Jan Sadeler drew from a design by Maarten de Vos, portraying the biblical episode recounted in John 8:59, the expulsion of Jesus from the Temple by the Jews who wish to stone him.
Exemplar with margins, on laid paper, in excellent condition (see photo).
Below the scene, a one-line Latin inscription: "Amen amen...ego sum Iohan. 8. v.59" and the number "4" of the series "Theatrum Biblicum Hoc Est Historiae Sacrae Veteris et Novi Testamenti Tabulis Aeneis Expressae" by Claes Jansz Visscher.
At the bottom: "M. de Vos inventor CJVisscher excu."
On the left, Christ flees from the Temple while a group of Jews gathers stones and is about to throw them at him.
