Rembrandt Harmensz. Van Rijn (1606-1669), after - Il Persiano

A beautiful anonymous engraving that follows in the same direction the Rembrandt self-portrait half-length made in 1632. A specimen with narrow margins, on laid paper, in excellent condition (see photo). Date 1632 and monogram barely visible at the bottom center. From a 19th-century edition of Rembrandt's works. A sturdy bearded man, with a fringed tunic, boots, a fur-trimmed cloak and a feathered fur hat, full-length, the right hand on a staff, the left resting on the hip, and the gaze turned to the left. For Hollstein 152; Hind 93; New Hollstein (Rembrandt) I.171.110.
