Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Murano glass sculpture 'Gondola degli Innamorati', hand-made in Italy, measures about 23 × 9 × 3.5 cm, with a black glossy gondola and red transparent hearts, perched on a pulegoso crystal base, un-signed, dated 2026, in excellent condition, with certificate of originality.
Description from the seller
Entirely handmade in Murano using lampworking, this sculpture tells Venice and love in a single, delicate image of glass.
The gondola, in solid glossy black glass, is hand-shaped in a long, slender line. At the bow stands the characteristic iron, stylized with fine engravings recalling its famous 'teeth'; at the stern the line closes in an elegant curl.
In the center, two hearts of transparent red glass, applied while hot, gently tilt toward each other, like two lovers during a gondola ride. In backlight the red glows with warm orange hues.
The gondola rests balanced on a cube of crystal worked with the pulegoso technique: a dense pattern of air bubbles, deliberately created in the glass, gives it a lively, tactile appearance, like lagoon water moved by the current. On this base the gondola seems to float, suspended.
Pulegoso is one of Murano glass's historic techniques, made famous in the twentieth century and still much loved by collectors today for its unique character: no two bubble patterns are ever identical.
A romantic and refined piece, perfect as a gift for an anniversary, a wedding, or Valentine’s Day, or as a precious memory of Venice.
Each sculpture is unique: the shape of the hearts, the pulegoso pattern, and the gondola details vary from piece to piece, a sign of the entirely handcrafted workmanship.
