Description from the seller
Title: Hector SAUNIER (1936-2024) - "Loch Ness" (1994) - Rare 1/X Impression with Unique Studio Dedication - Framed for local pickup in Paris
Description:
Superb and rare original copper engraving by Hector Saunier, a leading figure in 20th-century abstract printmaking and co-director of the famous Atelier 17 (Atelier Contrepoint) alongside Stanley William Hayter.
Titled "Loch Ness", this 1994 artwork is a textbook example of the revolutionary simultaneous color printing technique (viscosity / Hayter process). It combines deep, textured etching with fluid, thick, and dynamic burin lines that create a magnificent 3D effect of relief and depth.
