Rare Collectors Item, in almost new condition
A classic vintage toaster of the brand Omega from East Berlin of 1962, heavy chrome plated and in almost new condition.
The whole is connected using the provided neat white linen covered device cord. Tested and working, 450 Watt 220 volt
The special thing about this toaster is that it technically was way ahead of its time. It was normal in the Indie time to use a thread with a filament. For this toaster thermal elements (stone pipes) were used that become hot. So you won’t see it glowing.
Sizes: 23 cm wide - 11.5 cm deep and 18 cm high -- weight 1.3 kg

History:  The company Omega from East Berlin was called the VEB Elektrowärme Omega Altenburg für Haushaltsgeräte in later DDR and no longer exists.         --- Will be carefully packaged and shipped by registered post.---

VEB ELEKTROWÄRME 3411.02 (Omega black 01) around 1960s, German Democratic Republic Chrome plated/black metal 220 Volts/450 Watts
VEB (Volkseigener Betrieb) made this kind of toaster in different colours and materials marked with various labels. This Omega has a more elegant base than the other models like HAGEKA or TUR.
