This meteorite was found in Morocco in 2006 and is classified as NWA 4420. It was first classified as an aubrite but after a decade of debate on the Al Haggounia strewnfield, it was re-classified as an enstatite chondrite (EL3). The outer surface is rusty brown due to severe alteration. It looks like a sedimentary breccia cemented by iron oxide and carbonate. The inside is divided into polygonal pieces due to fractures filled with rust. Alteration starting from the fractures invades in changing the color from bluish gray to rusty brown close to the fractures. Yellow patches of sulfur (alteration) are widespread. The rocks appears significantly porous. It is similar and paired with other meteorites like NWA 002. Rare and intriguing,
this meteorite is here presented as a spectacular big slice of 245 grams.
