General:
If there is one Sennheiser which is famous, it is the MD 421 microphone! The microphones from the MD series have a robust housing and a beautiful vintage design. Not only the exterior of the microphone is important, the sound as well. That is good for this MD 421-II, a significantly improved MD 421. This dynamic microphone has a cardioid recording pattern and is suitable for vocals as well as instruments.

MD 421 II:
Optimal sound. The Sennheiser MD 421 II is equipped with a bass roll-off switch with five settings. With this, you can easily adjust the microphone to the noise in your environment. The microphone is also built so it is insensitive to handling noise, the unwanted additional sound which occurs when you move or grab a cable or microphone. A built-in pop filter prevents annoying wind and pop sounds, which results in the microphone producing a clear sound reproduction.

The sound:
The microphone has a full, dynamic and open sound. The cardioid recording pattern helps to fight feedback, so you will not be bothered with this quickly! The frequency response runs linearly from 30 Hz to 17 kHz. The high frequencies are lightly boosted, which increases intelligibility. The MD 421 II is a welcome guest at instrument recordings, but it is also liked by presenters and singers!
