An antique brass ship’s lantern (masthead light) with a very special appearance. Differently from most lanterns, this one has blown convex panes that are secured in the lantern. This gives the lantern the look of a Venetian lamp, which are known for their blown curved glass. On the top it says ‘Masthead’ in big letters. 

The lamp has been converted to electric.
Dimensions: with handle = 39 cm, diameter = 22 cm 

In a used condition with signs of wear, which give it a wonderful patina. The panes are intact.
