Quad power amplifiers always have the reputation of ‘a wire with amplification’, because they did not add or subtract anything from the original audio signal. Whether they were used on ESLs or other speakers.

The Quad 99 POW power amplifier is no exception to that. Due to the application of double complementary feedback, the 99 POW reaches an exemplary stability and a power of over 84 watts per channel at 8 ohms and 115 watts at 4 ohms. With ample reserves for short peaks. The 99 POW is at ease with difficult speaker loads.
