Exceptional Harpoon 18th/19th century.
Solid bronze spear/arrow/harpoon with original greased underlines.

has been used by Inuit Eskimos to hunt for seal and whale.

The Spear is stabbed, after which the line unwinds and the seal or whale can be hauled in.

Bronze in very good condition, no damage. Underlines beautifully wrapped. 

Very nice original short stick with a beautiful antique patina and thickening for grip to the rear.

No restorations, entirely original. An absolute top piece! 

Length bronze spear 25 cm. Heavy solid bronze.
Length stick 88 centimetres.
Total length mounted 109 centimetres.
Rope not disentangled, length unknown. Rope is also (dated) very early, twisted and stiff, possibly horsehair.

Perfect condition. For collector or museum, very exclusive and rare!
