Large heavy bell that can be hung and the hammer is supposed to beat it. A striking bell, that may have come from a carillon with its own hammer, still with a flexible striking mechanism. They work, albeit perhaps not good enough for the bell ringer but always good for a big round beer. 

This bell has a flat surface above of 10 cm diameter, that would be the flange crown, so it can be hung properly. This as well as the thickness of 8 mm and the dye layer would mean that this bell is not made of bronze but of cast iron or cast steel. It would therefore also be from after WW1 or 2. 

Top dimensions of the bell, the hammer fits in 46x22x12 cm and the hammer weighs 7 kg. A total of 35 kg, so you had better pick it up.
