Deze draagbare LG/MG radio uit 1957 is een van de eerste Philips radio's die volledig is uitgerust met transistoren. De ontwikkelingen gingen snel, na 1959 maakte Philips geen draagbare ontvangers meer met buizen, alleen nog met transistors.

De linker knop is voor de volumeregeling, de rechter knop is de afstemknop.  De functie van de vier drukknoppen bovenop het toestel is Aan/uit, Locaal, LG en MG. Bij de -00 versie heeft de tweede druktoets de functie "Toon" in plaats van "Locaal".

De Philips Sharpie is een degelijk geconstrueerd draagbaar radiotoestel met een goede ontvangstkwaliteit. Het toestel is gemaakt bij Philips Eindhoven, en genoemd naar een historische Italiaanse visserboot, de "Sharpie":

Het toestel is zeer gevoelig, en het geeft een redelijk geluid. Het verbruik is 80 mWatt.

In zeer goede conditie voor de leeftijd.
