Design: A.D. Copier. He was a Dutch designer, jeweller, book designer and ceramist and remained best known among the general public as a designer and glass artist.  From 1914 to 1971 he worked at the Glasfabriek Leerdam, where, in 10 decades, he was the only designer in permanent employment at the factory. He studied from 1920 to 1925 at the ‘Academie van beeldende kunsten en Technische wetenschappen’ in Rotterdam, where he primarily took classes from designer Jacob-Jongert.
The bowl is brown/apricot in colour with, at the top, an oil-like gloss and at the bottom matt with a Copier brand mark.  This unique bowl is used, has small scratches (see photos) and a few air bubbles in the glass.
