1967, Oldenzaal, The Netherlands, in excellent condition

Beautiful full bronze sculpture made by: Jan Kip, sculptor and goldsmith (1926–1987), Oldenzaal. 

It is a bronze sculpture of a man with a large cabbage (Boeskoolmenneke). 

Oldenzaal is also known as Boeskool city. 

The city and its inhabitants got their nickname from the boeskoolmenneke, which was placed in Oldenzaal in 1967. 

In the past, the locals cultivated a lot of "boeskool" (white cabbage), that was sold at markets in the surrounding cities. 
Sculpture weighs 1515 grams.

The object is in excellent condition. Will be shipped by registered post.
