Extremely rare Omega 2375-2, manufactured in 1943. The watch has a magnificent 33 mm case with fancy lugs. The case is in exceptionally good condition. This watch still features a closing system for the case, which was patented by Omega, in which a steel ring locks the case from the outside. This system was used because the screw back was patented by Rolex at the time and Omega was looking for alternatives for guaranteeing the water resistance of their watches. The dial has patinated beautifully over the years. The print is still very sharp, due to a special technique, in which the print is engraved first and subsequently filled with enamel and heated. The dial features applied dot markers and Arabic numeral markers, in alternating order. Furthermore, the feuille hands give the watch a very classic appearance. The movement is the revolutionary 28.10 RA bumper movement, which was one of the first automatic movements. The movement is an important transition model to the later automatic Omega movements. It was fully serviced and adjusted. The watch comes with a brown crocodile leather strap, which can be adjusted to fit a wrist size of up to 20 cm. Will be packaged with care and shipped registered.
