Hardcover volume of illustrations only of Druuna “Ossessione”, by Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri. 
Preserved in very good condition.

Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri has researched his ideal woman for years and this beautiful book of illustrations clearly shows all the evolution of his magnificent creature. Serpieri was born in Venice and completed his studies of painting becoming a pupil of Renato Gottuso, then he devoted himself to the first western comics on Lanciostory magazine. But he found fulfilment with Druuna and took the comic to limits that at the time, in the eighties, were still unexplored. The extraordinary Serpieri’s graphic creation is the result of more than one afterthought and of weeks of tests and drawings. The final result is certainly inspired by his great love for women, always seen as excessive and opulent. To create his fantastic universe, Serpieri said he was inspired by the timeless myth of the Beauty and the Beast, a legend that he led up to its extreme consequences.
