Francisco Álvarez

Mostly metal table telephone with a wooden top fitted with a rotary generator and alarm. It was connected to a manually operated switchboard, which was called by means of a handle on the right side. The operator then connected the caller to the verbally communicated telephone number. 
This model is fairly rare. In addition to the Swedish type plaque  B-1917 on the top of the phone, there is also a PTT logo plaque that was in use since 1935. Type B indicates that the bell and inductor are connected in parallel. The fabric-covered receiver cable is original. The mouthpiece reads Ericsson in relief. The front features a colourful old transfer (unfortunately damaged) which reads REGENT (RIJ?)WIEL – NEDERLANDSCH FABRIKAAT (probably the user of the telephone). The telephone is in reasonably good condition with some visible use.
