Zeiss 1948 ZEISS IKON 'Contax 'S' 35mm SLR Camera.

Description
Zeiss 1948 ZEISS IKON 'Contax 'S' 35mm SLR Camera.
SLR / single lens reflex camera - Good (used & in working condition with visible signs of use)

ZEISS IKON 'Contax S' 35mm SLR Camera. Manufactured in Dresden from 1948, the camera was claimed to be the first 35mm camera with a pentaprism SLR system. The camera comes in good condition, with some marking the the edgings due to slight oxidization and case rub. The mirror is clean and moves into position, but the horizontal screen shutter works, but sticks, maybe due to creasing, (see photos. The f2.9 50mm Ludwig Meritar lens is clear. The shutter would, of course, need attention, but with this carried out, the 70-year-old-camera would be very good.
