The Devil’s Discus is a detailed investigation into the dramatic demise of King Ananda Mahidol, the European born and educated heir to the Siamese crown. The Thai government banned the book as soon as it was published and the English-South African author Rayne Kruger was banned from further entry into Thailand.

The published version is a very rare book that in good condition will be at a high premium.

This book is an even more rare Proof Only. It was sent by the publisher Cassel to Anthony Lejeune to proof read and make notes before publication. 
It has XII + 248 pages + 7 blank for notes.
The content page and illustration content pages all point to 0-00-000 because the order of pages was not decided yet in this proof only book.

This book comes from the library of Anthony Lejeune, who died at age 89. I will include the obituary as well.

About the condition of the book: 
On the cover there is written in pen the word “April” and another indecepherable word, also a line under the publication date is drawn.
Cover is browned and slightly soiled, the pages are browned.
On the last page Anthony Lejeune has written his notes for the publisher and author.
The notes contain page numbers and words, wich correspond with a tiny line at the sentence on the page it points to. What Anthony Lejeune meant by those notes is unknown.
