Designed by Otl Aicher

Otl Aicher's design team produced 21 sports posters to advertise the sports at the Munich Olympic Games, using an abstract style / technique called 'posterization' for the graphics on the posters, separating the tonal qualities from the photographic images and using the official Munich colours for the games. Photo by Gerry Cranham born in 1929, is a British photographer, who is widely regarded as the one of the foremost practitioners in sports photography.

Cranham has worked with many newspapers and magazines such as The Watch, Sports Illustrated, Time and The Evening Standard  and his work is in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum.
