Dish speaker from Philips, also called the ‘pancake speaker’, with a diameter of 40 cm.

Designed in 1928 by Louis Christiaan Kalff and inspired by the New Objectivity. Made of thermocuring plastic, comparable to bakelite. Because of a licensing issue, it was also called Philips Philite.

The cast iron base is missing. The whole is colourfully flamed, glossy and decorative.
