From the early days of the radio, 1927. Antique and highly collectible. Beautiful machines with the user manual on the device itself.

This concerns two of the same devices, one with a lamp and plug and one without. When connected, some noise of the current can be heard, but I could not test it further than that.
There is a Philips 373 tube as the rectifier tube. Unfortunately, a button is damaged and it seems that 2 are missing on the front (2 are present). The other does have all buttons. 
But it is a very neatly preserved item being nearly 100 years old.

Background:
These devices came from 1925 and were made to replace the anode battery that was widely used in radios at the time. 
This type was changed at 1927: the cabinet was then delivered on a frame and finished with black lacquer instead of the red-brown varnish.
