A wonderful catalogue book concerning ZERO: Let Us Explore the Stars, an exhibition held in the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and Martin-Gropius-Bau Berlin from 4 July through 7 November 2015. 

Fire, light, space, demonstrations and performances: an historical overview of the innovative, international avant-garde group ZERO. Work by, amongst others, Herman de Vries, Armando, Henk Peeters, Jan Schoonhoven, Jan Henderikse, Piero Manzoni, Lucio Fontana, Yves Klein, Jean Tinguely, Yayoi Kusama, Otto Piene, Heinz Mack, Günther Uecker and others. 

The artist group ZERO experimented in the 1950s and 1960s with the most innovative materials and media. Artists that belonged to this international network wanted to give art a new future after the heavy years of war.

The first museum presentation of ZERO was held in the Stedelijk in 1962. A more elaborate exhibition followed in 1965: Nul 1965, one of the highlights from the history of the movement. Exactly fifty years after that, the Stedelijk again organises an overview exhibition of this radical group of artists. ZERO – Let Us Explore the Stars displays how the artists connected to the movement, such as Armando, Heinz Mack, Henk Peeters, Otto Piene, Jan Schoonhoven, Günther Uecker, Lucio Fontana, Yves Klein, Piero Manzoni, Jean Tinguely and Yayoi Kusama, changed the meaning and form of art permanently.
