Two copies of the perfectly restored sculptural stool designed by Philippe Starck as part of an imaginative office environment which Starck designed in 1990 for the Oscar-nominated filmmaker Wim Wenders. This stool is a true collector's item, with rising market prices. The solid aluminium stool is turquoise coated and both copies wear the signature of Philip Starck. The stool is for sure one of Starck’s most iconic designs, more a sculpture that can be used as a stool or a support for users who prefer to stand than an item of furniture intended to be purely functional. ‘Never been used’ is a phrase applicable to almost every WW stool. This filigree design is permanently exposed in several museums: Museum of Modern Art, New York; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Smithsonian Design Museum, New York; The Design Museum, Kensington.
