A bit of history:

The history of DPW 
Late 1970s: it is during this period that the very first DPW watch appeared, created in collaboration with the 2nd Parachute Battalion of the Folgore Brigade. The official designer was Federico Parodi, a young paratrooper officer with an old family business tradition. These watches were therefore created to meet the needs of the paratrooper activity. 
Military watches have gone a long way since then. In fact, DPW watches have been on the wrists of the Frecce Tricolori pilots, the Amerigo Vespucci cadets, Antarctica expedition crews, professional sportsmen from all over the world, as well as being part of exclusive and prestigious collections created as an example for the Principality of Monaco. The DPW collections were composed of unique pieces, tested at -60 °C during the Official Mission in Antarctica, for example on the wrist of the Paratrooper Raiders to check the shock resistance and also subjected to an acceleration of 7G by the Tornado pilots during their astonishing nosedives. 
The DPW brand represents a production of watches of the highest technical level for military and sports professionals. Each diving watch and each aeronautical chronograph was created on commission from an operational unit, a special body or a group operating in the professional sports sector. The consistency of the DPW brand emerges from the details, materials, special functions and hand finishes. The dial of the Chrono Pilot, with three timers, can be read immediately. The seconds display and 100th of a second display of the Twin Chrono Flight allow you to measure at a glance the deceleration time of the helicopter's turbine, the sapphire crystal of the Z1000 model, with a differentiated section and a thickness of 6 mm, can withstand the incessant operational activity of the fire brigade divers, and the "complications" made by hand by a master watchmaker make the Valjoux 7751 chronograph an authentic collector's item.

Neoprene straps. 
The DPW professional diving strap in neoprene is hypoallergenic, self-extinguishing, with a length suitable for a diving suit, resistant to 200 °C and to 200 kg of tension, with 1:25.000 and 1:50.000 scale, a scale in cm  and inches and conversion table of the main units of measurement. 

DPW, after various ups and downs and attempts at recovery, sadly closed its doors at the end of the '90s.
