Yamaha PSR-38 synthesizer from 1990 with 61 full size keys. One hundred sounds, a combination of FM synthesis and samples. One of the first synthesizer with samples. A nicely playing keyboard. Controllable via MIDI (in and out). Eight-pitched polyphony.

The most important property of this synthesizer is the sounds collection which is very versatile. These sounds can’t be found on more modern synthesizers. An outstanding secret weapon for creative musicians and engineers. Many, very powerful synth, brass, strings, bass and fx sounds.

One of the keys (the B3) is sometimes a bit slow in the beginning, though after being warmed-up this is gone for 99%. Otherwise: In perfect working condition. 
In good looking condition: Minor discolouration of the keys (the white keys are no longer snow-white), see photos.

Features:  

* Voicemodus:
The voice modus has more than one hundred authentic sounds, many with special properties or embellishments. One hundred AWM sounds, using digital stereo recordings of real instruments in combination with tested Yamaha FM synthesis. 
 
* 5050 Dual Voices (Combi sounds). Dual Voices consists of two mixed sounds or ‘ensemble’ sounds. Dual Split Voices also consists of two sounds, though instead of being mixed, each sound is played with another range of the keyboard. So for example, a bass on the left and a solo-instrument on the right, a sound effect etc. Otherwise with an ensemble modus where one sound is panned to the left and the other to the right, in combination with a short stereo delay. 

* 'Solo-Style-Play' button. With this button, the sound becomes monophonic and hefty digital effects are added, depending on which auto-accompaniment style is selected. Super cool!

* Sequencer. Recording and play.

* Auto Bass Chord system: an elaborate automatic guidance section with one hundred styles, synchro start, three different intros per style, two different fill-ins, one ending.

*Sixteen extremely powerful 8/12-bit drum samples. 

 Also 2 Sustain modes, Transpose and Pitch possibilities, a pitch bend wheel and 2-track sequencer to record and play back your playing.
