The Akai 1722 II is a robustly constructed, complete stereo tape recorder with built-in phono amplifier and large 5 x 7 inch speakers.

This model is equipped with a tape selector switch which eases the use of high-quality tape with a large range. 

A new 3-way speaker switch (mute/recording monitor, normal, PA) provides the right signal output for private listening to headphones or monitoring during recording.

In line with Akai's policy for the use of top quality components, the 1722 II has top quality components, a robust construction and a sturdy mechanism. Our reliable control system with two levers delivers even more durability.
