Set of two sculptures by the French sculptor Mestais made of zamak. Performance is the sower (semeuse) and the haymaker (faneur). In a very good condition. Signed "Mestais" and "France".  From the first half of the 20th century, ca 1910. 

Both are on a wooden pedestal (6 cm high and 17 cm in diameter).

The haymaker’s hayfork, which is often missing or damaged, is in this case flawless.

The sower has a brass plate "semeuse" on the pedestal. 
The plate "faneur" is missing at the haymaker. 
The sculptures have a brown mixed patina.
