This “Cerequio” Barolo brings to life, sip after sip, one of the areas most suited to viticulture in the Piedmontese Langhe. Cerequio is in fact one of the most prestigious additional geographical mentions of the entire Barolo appellation, where the Michele Chiarlo winery can boast of owning 3 hectares of vineyards. From this land a structured red wine is born, where the sip hits the palate with incisiveness and expressiveness, telling the best profile of the grape used, Nebbiolo. A label that agrees with the opinion of world critics, and which should be reserved for those occasions where what you drink has its importance.

The "Cerequio" wine is a Barolo that comes from Nebbiolo grapes grown right within the Cerequio cru, one of the most prestigious of the entire DOCG, whose soils are among the oldest in the Langhe. We are within a Tortonian formation terroir, where limestone marls dominate; the vineyards of the Michele Chiarlo winery are south and south-west oriented, and the plants have an average age of about 30-40 years. The grapes, once harvested during the harvest, ferment alcoholically in oak vats, macerating for 20 days. We then proceed with the maturation phase, in which the wine first remains for 24 months in oak barrels, and then, after bottling, for another 12 months in glass.
Barolo "Cerequio" manifests itself to the eye with a typically ruby ​​color, clear and captivating, characterized by light reflections tending to garnet in the nail. Fascinating range of aromas that unfold slowly on the nose, where withered flowers alternate with small ripe fruit and more balsamic and mentholated sensations. In the mouth it is full-bodied, muscular, with a sip dominated by elegant tannins and a pleasantly fresh taste. A red that does not need too many words as much as a concentrated taste, aimed at fully savoring its qualities.
