Beautiful solid leather binding, sturdy boards, richly decorated binding with relief motifs. On the front cover a portrait vignette of Albrecht Dürer [1471-1528]. Clasps are missing. Excellent binding. Contains 58 beautiful mounted images / illustrations / miniatures. The pictures are not completely pasted into the book, but only glued on one side. Most images have beautifully handwritten Gothic script in French. With beautiful handwritten title pages (also in Gothic script). Two illustrations with handwritten Dutch text. The remainder of the contents consists of blank leaves. This is less than half. The leaves are a bit frayed at the edges.
