Michel Karis

A large and heavy rectangular chest with hinged lid, made entirely of solid Wengé. Belgium, circa 1930´s. Because of the Belgian colonial connection to the Congo, it had plentiful access to tropical woods, hence the box is not veneered but solid throughout. (Re) upholstered to the interior with brown silk. 

Condition: In a good condition, no damages or repairs. Minor wear commensurate with age and use.

This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
