Michel Karis

A beautiful and rather large statue of a greyhound dog or Borzoi (the Afghan dog was one of the favourite animals of art deco sculptors). Made by the well known French manufacturer LEJAN in the early to mid 1930s. This particular figurine features in many popular publications on art deco ceramics.

The sculpture is in absolute mint condition. It is signed 'LEJAN' on the right side of the foot (front). Will be very carefully packed and shipped with insurance and track and trace.
