Original signed artwork by Sydney Jordan for the newspaper strip Jeff Hawke from the Daily Express. This is from the story 'Rescue Party’.

This strip has three very bold panels.

There is a lot of heavy inking combined with extremely fine and detailed work alongside the zipper-tone used for shading.

All the original hand lettered word balloons are still in place.

The illustration board is in good condition and is signed by Sydney Jordan on the front and back of the board.

Sydney Jordan famously anticipated the Moon landing to within two weeks of the actual date ten years before it ever happened in one of his famous Jeff Hawke strips (published in 1959).

The series has been reprinted all over Europe. 

Sydney Jordan is considered one of Great Britain’s finest science fiction artists and this will make a very good addition to any collection.

The strip is rubber stamped on the reverse by the publisher ‘31 March 1970’
