Being offered for sale as individual pieces is an extensive old collection.

These are objects made of stone by the Dogon from Mali. 
The sculpted stones portray anthropomorphic and zoomorphic figures, spiritual beings and faces. 
They are between 10 cm and 100 cm high and were involved in a personalised cult that in the early 20th  century ground to a complete halt. 
Objects of this kind were previously unknown to academics. A photo book ‘Die steinernen Wächter der Dogan’ with the findings of independent research has been published by LIT-Verlag.
The object being offered is published in this book.
