Superb Demaria-Lapierre 13 x 18 mahogany travel camera from the late 19th century. Size is 24 x 23 x 7.5 cm folded and 24 x 23 x 43 cm unfolded (including the lens). Red bellows are light tight and with no visible defects or imperfections. its movement is based on two cogwheel and transmission rack operated via the two big brass wheels at both sides. Displacement is adequate, even sometimes a little bit rough. Brass decoration and functional elements have been well-preserved and retain the major part of their shiny appearance, even though some discoloration is expectable and does nothing but increase the overall view of this camera. Surprisingly, L-shape reinforcements on the bottom left and right sides are not from brass, but from iron.
Backside part of the camera fully functional, including the brass hinges that allow the correct movement of the glass prior to inserting the cassette.
Brass lens is a large 11.5 x 7.5 cm with an opening for the different diaphragm slits (not included). Some dust can be seen at the inner parts of the lenses, which do not affect the overall working of the camera
