Edu Alpuente worked as staff artist at several Spanish publishers in the 1990-s before working for Marvel Comics and then running his own talent agency. 
One of his tasks was to create advertisement, covers, posters or interior art for the sections in their titles. It was traditional in Spain to use local artists to produce covers and advertisement for their comics instead of using the original ones, because it was easier than changing the lettering before computer times. Some stapled comics were bound in soft covers to produce cheap paperbacks with leftover books once they were old, and resold in Spain and other Spanish-speaking countries.
The paper has one overlay with lettering attached with paper tape. The overlay is a little old but the art is in perfect condition.

This early drawing is signed at the back in blue pen which has faded a little.
Pencil and ink on 300 g Bristol paper, A3 size.
