The duduk is a Bulgarian traditional national instrument.

The duduk is mostly a solo instrument. It is a wooden pipe, 25 - 45 cm long (in this case - 43 cm), with six finger holes. At the upper end there is a special mouthpiece with a butt, which facilitates sound extraction. The duduk sounds quite different in the different registers - weak and unstable in the lows, soft and sonorous in the middle. The highest tones are difficult to extract and are sharp and whistling.

The musical instrument is widespread among the peoples of the Caucasus, where it is most popular in Armenia, as well as among Armenians living abroad. The oldest historical information about the duduk is related to the reign of the Armenian king Tigran II the Great (95-55 BC). The sound is generated as a result of vibrations and is regulated by changing the air pressure on the tongue of the instrument.

The condition of the musical instrument is good with minimal traces of use.
