A study by Vincenzo Canino, belonging to that small group of artists who can be considered followers of the Posillipo School, and who has transmitted so much in terms of art to masters and collectors. He was a friend of Attilio Pratella, with whom he shared his efforts as a landscaper and with whom he showed affinity both in style and in pictorial language. Naples, the coast, the Phlegraean area, the islands of the gulf offered him the inspiration for the creation of lyrical and spectacular landscapes, which made him acclaimed by critics and collectors.
The painting was offered at Auction 118 at the Galleria Vincent in Naples in June 2017
