Conditie: De staat is uitstekend; alleen het gouden randje heeft iets slijtage sporen.

In 1810 richtte Edmé Samson in Parijs Samson, Edmé et Cie (ook wel Samson Ceramics genoemd) op. Hij was een beroemd, en misschien wel berucht, kopieerder van exclusief porselein en aardewerk, dat vaak alleen te vinden was in privé collecties en musea. Meissen, Sèvres, Worcester en Derby zijn onder meer de veelvuldig door hen nagemaakte merken. De kwaliteit van de door Samson, Edmé et Cie geproduceerde stukken doet niet onder voor het origineel en ironisch genoeg werd in het verleden al een aantal keren een reproductie als echt betiteld. Tegenwoordig is ieder Samson, Edmé et Cie item een verzamelstuk.

Er zijn onder andere serviesdelen in The Met Museum te New York en het Philadelphia Museum of Art te vinden.
