En 1956 la voiture RENAULT DAUPHINE est un véritable succès. L’horloger Fred LIP profite de cet engouement pour créer la montre DAUPHINE. Cependant le nom est déjà déposé par un autre horloger (Henri BASQUIN),, Fred LIP ne pourra que mentionner en tout petit LIP MADE en bas du cadran. A l’issue d’un procès, Fred LIP pourra enfin afficher LIP DAUPHINE sur les modèles suivants.
Le terme "Dauphine" fut employé seul (sur le cadran) vers 1957, puis en 1959, Dauphine et LIP en-dessous… et de 1960 à 1972 LIP au-dessus de Dauphine

La montre en vente est un des premiers modèles de la série des Dauphine (circa 1957) avec "Lip Made" à 6h .

Boitier plaqué or avec quelques petites traces d'usage sans altérer son bel aspect
Cadran champagne en excellent état 
Fond en parfait état numéroté 529316
Mouvement Jeambrun 23D, R128 par LIP qui fonctionne avec une  précision exellente
